Your
school is probably spending lots of money, and devoting lots of
resources to bring the Internet into your classroom. When you find
yourself face-to-face with an Internet-ready computer, where do
you go for support and guidance? How can you utilize the resources
on the Internet to their fullest educational potential? This workshop
is intended to help you get a good running start.
The workshop consists of 12 modules. During the course of the day you should complete at least 8 of them, more if you have time. The titles of the modules are...
Your assignment for each module will consist of a short introduction (which you should read carefully) and an Internet based activity to complete. (Please note that the Internet resources that you will be using are outside of my control. That means that there may be some "dead" links on some of the pages. If you find a dead link, please let me know.) You will need a worksheet to complete each activity. The worksheet will become a valuable reference for you to use after the workshop is over so be sure to hang on to it. (If I have not given you a worksheet, you can print one out here - Word Version - HTML Version.)
On the bottom right hand side of each module you will find some navigation arrows. You can use those arrows to move from one module to the next. As I mentioned earlier, you are going to be visiting many different websites during the course of this workshop. Whenever you link to an external site (one that does not start with http://chris.esc2.net), you will have to use the "Back" button on your Internet browser to return to the module. You may also find it helpful to add this page to your Favorites list or Bookmarks list before you begin. That way if you get lost out in cyberspace somewhere, you can easily return to this page and find your way back to the module you were working on. Before you begin, bookmark this webpage to make returning easier. Have fun...
